Divided into two equal parts, the first nine tracks form the R&B-centered Saturday Night, while the final nine tracks comprise the featureless Gospel record Sunday Morning. Written and produced entirely by Morton himself at his historic Studio In The Country in rural Louisiana, the album highlights his immense creative independence.
