R&B singer-songwriter Vedo marks a career milestone with his 10th studio album, V. Grounded in a smooth synthesis of contemporary R&B, late-night bedroom soul, and polished pop sensibilities, the project captures the veteran vocalist exploring themes of passion, emotional intimacy, and romantic dedication. Preceded by magnetic lead singles like the seductive cut “Put Up” and the lush, late-night anthem “YES,” the album maintains a silky, captivating momentum from beginning to end. A selective pair of featured guests adds distinct texture to the record, featuring rap artist Lady London on “Put Up” and singer-songwriter Sevyn Streeter delivering complementary harmonies on “YES”. The album’s production landscape is expertly co-anchored by veteran producer Troy Taylor alongside hitmaker Sean Garrett. Together, the soundscapes weave warm fender rhodes chords, crisp drum programming, sub-bass grooves, and pristine vocal stacking beneath Vedo’s agile tenor and effortless falsetto. Shifting gracefully between fast-paced bedroom grooves and stripped-back, introspective ballads, the arrangements spotlight his refined vocal control and sharp penmanship. Ultimately, V stands as a polished, vocal-driven body of work that celebrates a major career milestone while reinforcing Vedo’s position as a reliable voice in modern R&B.
